Why We Don't Take Insurance

Welcome, everyone!

My name is Courtney Morse. I am a Physical Therapist and have been practicing in the Wichita area for about 7 years. I love being a PT and helping patients get back to doing the things that they love. That is a big part of the reason that in December 2017, I dropped out of the traditional PT model and started my own practice.

Often, so much of how we are allowed to treat patients is dictated by Third Party Payers, AKA-insurance providers. They dictate how long we can see a patient, often what types of treatments we provide and whatsmore, when we need to stop seeing a patient.

That can leave a lot to be desire. Typically, treatment ends when a person is "functional." That is a very broad statement and to me---NOT good enough. I don't want my patients to just be functional; I want them to be "optimal."

Functional leaves a lot of gray area between where a patient started their journey and where they want to be. Sure, you may not have pain when go down the stairs but are you ready for that group-fitness class, to return to the Crossfit gym or run a 5k? Probably not.

This is where a lot of people backslide. They try to do those things, end up re-injuring themselves and drop out of those activities altogether.

WHY? Because insurance stopped paying. Your BLISS is to important to leave in the hands Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

That's where Natural Wellness Physiotherapy comes in. We are an Out-of-Network Provider for all insurances.

"What does that mean?"

It means that we care more about you and your function than your insurance benefits.

We offer a cash-pay model that allows us a full hour of ONE-ON-ONE treatment time.

  • We will not sit in the gym and count reps of the home exercises you are already doing.

  • We will not hand you off to an unskilled technician

  • We will not apply unneccesary hot and cold packs to rack up dollars to your insurance

  • We will not make you come to therapy 2-3 times per week for 4-6 weeks.

We respect your time and know you are busy. We typically only see patients once per week.

We can actually save you money. If you have:

  • A high deductible-you are paying in cash anyway

  • A high co-pay and you are coming in for 2-3 visits a week you're already paying out of pocket

So get the attention and treatment you need and deserve.

Until next time,

Dr. Courtney Morse PT, DPT
