Do not be afraid of a rounded back!

Somewhere along the way a rumor started that lifting with a rounded back was bad. In reality, our spines aren't afraid of a little flexion!

The Jefferson Curl is a great move to help us strengthen in that flexed lumbar position, and also gives us a little bit of a low back stretch in the process.

Training in this position will help your back be more bulletproof in the future, and can ultimately save you from injury late on down the road.

Give this move a shot and let us know what you think!

Still not sure if you're using the best techniques to maintain correct form, avoid injury, and make your biggest gains and PRs?

Shoot us a message. We're happy to take a look at your form and offer suggestions in a weightlifting analysis session or our small group training classes.
