An easy way to get back to lifting weight overhead without shoulder pain

Written by Dr. Clayton Dir, PT, DPT | Jan 13, 2023 9:30:00 PM

If you’ve been avoiding reaching or lifting any weight overhead, follow along as Dr. Clayton walks you through a simple exercise that will help you get past that nagging shoulder pain.

Instead of just stretching and hoping that the pain will disappear, try this simple, but effective move!

Don’t forget to start small - think 3-5 lb dumbbell - and focus on slow, controlled movements. Aim for 2-3 sets of 5 to start.

This will overload your tissues so you build the strength and stability you need to get back to moving your shoulder pain free.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes for you!
